After the Launch of Restaurant Mania this June, 10th 2015 we started our Blog and took an opportunity to conduct an interview with Imad Afzal, CEO of Restaurant Mania. In this interview, we will cover the theme behind Restaurant Mania and its essence why it was needed as there are already Online Food Restaurants available in Pakistan Market.

What is Restaurant Mania? 

Restaurant Mania is a Pakistan Online Portal, the idea behind was to facilitate consumers, Restaurants Owners to take maximum benefits out of it with simple interface keeping in mind the Pakistan Audience. We have tried to come up with a different idea by doing comparing / reviewing current Online Food Portal in Pakistan but keeping the layout simple and flexible. The idea was perceived last year in 2014 during the month of Ramadan where we Team of Restaurant Mania sat together and worked out with this idea. We did the market research to come up with different strategy and idea which attracts the Restaurant Owners and consumers of Rawalpindi / Islamabad in the first stage which will be expanded Nationwide in the next phase.

What made you to think your Own Restaurant Portal?  What is the different between your Food Portal & Others?

The idea was to come up with a New Market approach and strategy which attracts Restaurants Owners and consumers. With the native Food Portal, you need to make your Booking Over Phone, had to enquire the Iftar Items and buffet items over the phone which was a hectic job for the consumers and Restaurants Managers to confirm their restaurants to enjoy the blessings of Iftar with Company, Family and Friends. At the very last moment, they kept on calling and confirming their restaurants, in order to overcome this approach we come up with the idea – Restaurant Mania where you can search your restaurant in a single click place your reservation get confirmation against your booking and enjoy Ramadan Mania. In our initial survey, which I conducted with Islamabad Restaurants Managers / Owners from 10th June, 2015 To 14th June 2015 Restaurants like Aura Grande – Event Complex, PM Lounge, Salt’n Pepper, Des Pardes & Zefra and they thumbs up the Application.

The difference between Restaurant Mania & Other Food Portal like FoodPanda, Eatoye, SuperMeal is we come up with Total different unique idea features such as:

Featured In: This Feature helps the users to determine the location of Restaurants like whether the Restaurant facilitate the Indoor, Outdoor, Mountain View, Taste, Family, Environment which helps the users to determine which restaurant to reserve for their family, Company & friends.

Email Reservation: First Time in the History of Pakistan Food Portal Website, we are able to launch Email Reservations in our Food Portal. This feature will help the Restaurant Owners / Users to bypass the Phone Reservation which is hectic work for users & Restaurants Owners to search Restaurants and confirm booking.

Select Reservation Type: Company, Family and Friends for which you are placing your reservation, select the Date / Time from the Calendar and number of guests which are interested to come at desired Restaurants which is at our Web Portal.

Featured Ad: We have facilitated the Restaurants Owners to place their Restaurants Featured with us at Homepage along with Listing Page. Moreover, we have given them option to Restaurants owners to place banner Ad with us at Homepage and Detail Page.

Recommended / Fast Food Listing: To increase the number of sales, we have  introduce a new approach of Recommended / Fast Food Listing, the Restaurants which want to stay Top on the List against which we charge them additional Fee.

Digital Menu: Again here have introduce a new concept of Digital Menu which means say NO to hard coded PDF / Word Document Or Image Menu. Now you can create your Online Customize menu on-line which are editable / upgradable from the your specific account which we are going to create for you. How Do you look into the Success of Restaurant Mania? How much you are satisfied with its Response?

I’m confident over the success of Restaurant Mania as its a unique idea after the comprehensive market research which we did from past 1 year. We are confident and satisfied so far with the progress of Restaurant Mania as we have achieved which we were looking after in an Online Food Portal, keeping in mind the Month of Ramadan. So far so good with the response of Restaurant Mania as people are giving their feedback with us which means they have an interest in the Web Application.
